RES+INNOVA began as INNOVA DESIGNS, Inc. in 2005, and was based in Houston Texas. We have since moved our operations to Vietnam, an area of the world full of energy in urban renewal and other new developments. We continue to support our clients in the US working remotely. Taking advantage of the time difference and the energy of the young talent pool in Vietnam, we can deliver projects faster and price our services competitively. Lee Van-Binh

Professional Experience:

Lee graduated with a B.Arch Magna Cum Laude at the Gerald D. Hines College of Architecture - University of Houston. He began his career with notable commercial/retail architecture firms like GENSLER and Ray Bailey Architects. However, he turned his focus on the world of residential architecture after working with a number of high-end residential Houston firms, notably, Newberry Architecture and Curtis & Windham. In 2005, Lee started his own practice including several design/build projects. Presently, as Principal of RES + INNOVA based in HCMC, Vietnam, he continues exploring new ways of defining the living environment in a fast-changing world.

I am writing this letter of recommendation for Lee Van-Binh.

My spouse and I engaged Lee to be our architect on the design of our home in Houston, Texas, which was completed in December of 2018. We could not be happier with the design of our home and the process of working with Lee. People have ring our doorbell to comment on how much they like our home.

A few points I would like to mention:

Lee was incredibly responsive throughout the entire process
We sent Lee examples of houses we liked, and he created a great blend of those homes
From the first draft, to the last, Lee would quickly make the needed edits, and return the documents to us. We would sometimes go to sleep and have the changes made by the next morning
Lee never seemed annoyed by our questions, and sometimes change in direction in a certain area or feature of our home
Lee made interior design suggestions that we never would have considered, and we love them
Lee worked seamlessly with our builder and sent any needed documents for engineering, permitting, etc.

When we decided it was time to add an addition to our home, we went straight to Lee without a moment of hesitation. We highly recommend Lee without reservation.

Lee Van-Binh was the architect for my house that was built in 2016 in The Heights, Houston, Texas. It has always been a dream of mine to build a house, I consider modern architecture a hobby and an art form. I love to browse modern architecture blogs, magazines, and when available gallery showings or tours.

I worked with Lee mostly remotely. We conversed over email and, as I was living in Malaysia at the time, we had a face-to-face meeting in HCMC. From the start, it was apparent that Lee was very competent and was intent on listening to what our desires were and how to find interesting solutions to meet them. We finalized our house plans over the coming few months and the builder delivered an extremely detailed set of drawings. We passed Engineering on the first attempt with no additional recommendations.

The builder and many of his work staff were extremely complimentary about the plans and frequently mentioned how great it was to have something so detailed to work from.

Our house has turned out great, we get a lot of compliments from people who visit and from passersby. More importantly, we love living there and finding new ways to enjoy it every day. I would, and have, recommend Lee to anyone that will listen to me. In fact, three of my friends have decided to build houses after seeing what a good job was done with mine and have all used Lee as their architect with fabulous results.

In Reference to: Lee Van Binh

I am writing this letter as a reference for Lee Van Bin whom I have had the pleasure of knowing as a business partner and friend since 2005.

I own a Residential Construction Company and a Real Estate Firm in Houston, Texas. Lee and I decided in 2005 to go in Business together to purchase land, design and build homes in the inner city of Houston.

When we met, he was an Architect with a major commercial and Residential firm here in Houston, but he desired the ability to create through Architecture and see it through full process. He has helped to build some of the properties and has since designed many more amazing properties for my firm.
